Pile drivers generally operate outdoors. During the rainy season, not only does the humidity and temperature in the air increase, but the temperature also rises. In such dual environmental conditions, the mechanical performance of pile drivers is undoubtedly a significant challenge. Although the overall structure of the machine uses high-quality steel, corrosion remains a common phenomenon that users must protect against when using pile drivers in the rainy season.

Firstly, attention should be paid to cleaning. After operations in the rainy season, the base plate of the pile driver must be cleaned. Areas close to the ground are also where corrosion is most severe. If maintenance is inadequate, even if there are loose or perforated areas, lubrication should be added to necessary spots to prevent rust, and the oil drain screws should be checked for looseness. Even with maintenance, accumulated water on the machine should be cleared promptly. This prevents rust, which could affect the machine's flexibility. Mud accumulates in the lower side of the pile driver, which can also lead to rust. Acidic components in rainwater can corrode the paint on the surface of the pile driver. If untreated for a long time, this will significantly shorten the service life of the pile driver.

During the rainy season and generally, the surface of the pile driver should be thoroughly repaired in advance, and waxing or glazing can effectively protect the pile driver's casing. Moisture-proofing during the rainy season is essential. On rainy days, the pile driver often has poor ignition due to inadequate protection measures and moisture causing leakage in the ignition system, leading to abnormal ignition or decreased engine performance. Therefore, it's important to avoid storing the pile driver in overly humid indoor environments. The pile driver should be started once a month and driven for an extended period to charge the battery.

After long-term storage, the grease on the piston rod should be wiped off, and new grease should be applied to the components.
