Safety Precautions for Pile Drivers

1. When the pile driver is operating, there must be a dedicated person commanding. The commander and the operator must check the signals with each other before starting work and cooperate closely.

2. Before starting the pile driver, signal the surrounding personnel to leave by ringing the startup bell of the machine or through other means.

3. The pile driver and pile cap, as well as the pile cap and the column (or pile), should be level. The connecting bolts should be tightened and regularly checked for looseness.

4. The pile driver starts from low speed and accelerates to high speed.

5. Pay attention to the current and voltage indicators on the control panel when operating the pile driver. If abnormal noise or other unusual conditions are found, stop and check immediately.

6. Regularly check the temperature of the bearings and whether the bearing cover screws are loose. Strictly check whether the screws connecting the eccentric blocks are loose to prevent accidents.

7. It is forbidden to stand around the column (or pile) during sinking.

8. When carrying water jets and sinking slurry with the pile driver, contact relevant personnel in advance and keep in touch during work.

9. When connecting long strings or long piles, or installing pile caps, safety belts must be securely fastened.

10. Mechanical maintenance is not allowed during sinking.
