W-beam Guardrail Piling Machine Piling Process

When it comes to the piling process of W-beam guardrail piling machines, real battle experience remains paramount. Here is the fundamental process of piling for a basic W-beam guardrail piling machine.


1. Upon arrival at the construction site, to prevent the pile hammer from moving or tilting during work, it must be aligned with the pile position and erected in a stable vertical position.


2. Use a file rack and hoist sling to lift the precast pile, ensuring the correct lifting point and a slow and even speed.


3. When driving the piling machine file, the centerlines of the file hammer, pile cap, and pile body should be kept constant. Use guide clamps or pile collars to insert the pile into two guide posts on the pile board to correct the pile's position and verticality. A gap of 5-10 mm must be maintained around the pile, and elastic cushions should be added between the pile hammer and pile cap, as well as between the pile cap and the pile.


4. Initially, press several times at the start of the file head sinking, then observe the vertical alignment of the file frame, file hammer, and file body, before formally starting construction. The first descent distance should not be too large. Increase the falling distance after the soil has reached a certain depth and stabilized. When using a single-acting steam hammer or drop hammer on the pile, the falling distance should not exceed 1 meter.


5. Determine the appropriate pile sequence based on soil conditions, depth, size strength, and the plane layout of the pile foundation. Piles are typically stacked from the middle to the sides or symmetrically from all sides or from one side to the other. One or another specification of piles can be deep, shallow, first large, small, long, short, short, so that the soil is evenly compacted, thereby preventing displacement or deformation. When the pile spacing is greater than four times the diameter of the pile, do not consider the pile sequence.


6. If the length of the pile is not sufficient, generally use Q235 steel plate, E43xx welding rod to connect piles by welding, clean the surface of embedded iron parts, and when connecting piles between the top and bottom, weld thickness. If the distance from the ground is about 1 meter, the deviation of the centerlines of the upper and lower piles should not exceed 10 mm, and the bending height of the joint should not exceed 0.1% of the pile length. Please note to apply rust-proof paint on the joint.


7. When the pile body disconnects, piles can be constructed beside the pile. When the pile reaches a certain depth, it will not hit the pile or bounce back suddenly, which could cause the formation of a hard soil layer or isolated rock. Reduce the falling distance of the pile hammer and lower the driving speed. Increase the falling distance after passing through obstacles at the end of the file. If the file head is severely damaged, do not continue driving before performing recalibration. Construction continues.


8. Control is performed when the landfill depth reaches the required and the soil depth is close to the design requirement. Typically, the average penetration force of the last few hammers should not be greater than the value specified in the design. You can move the piling machine to a new file.
