How should a professional guardrail piling machine be self-checked and maintained?

Highway guardrail steel pipe pile driving equipment uses diesel power and full hydraulic mechanical transmission. It features easy mobility, high piling accuracy, durability, and energy efficiency, making it especially suitable for field construction projects such as highway guardrail installation, maintenance, and emergency repairs. How should a professional guardrail piling machine be self-checked and maintained? Here's how.


1. Set a fixed time to check the hydraulic oil level after every fifty hours of operation, ensuring the oil level is maintained.

2. Avoid leaving the hydraulic hammer inside the guardrail for an extended period. Keep the machine clean and cover it with a plastic cover. Remove the battery, fill it with fluid, charge it, and store it in a dry place. When the storage time reaches six months, all parts should be rotated for 15 minutes without load, and related parts should be lubricated.

3. Clean the oil tank. After 400 hours of operation, the hydraulic oil tank should be cleaned. Remove the drain plug, drain the hydraulic oil in the tank, reinstall the drain plug, take out the filter screen from the air filter, clean and replace it. Fill the hydraulic oil tank about halfway, then drain again. Then clean the filter screen and put it back in place, plug it and refill with hydraulic oil. The air filter and its filter element should be checked regularly.

4. Daily inspection and maintenance: Lubricate every lubrication point at the start of each shift. Visually inspect the joints of hydraulic components and all pipe fittings for any leaks. Before starting work each day, the machine should rotate at low speed for a few minutes (longer in winter) and operate each handle for preheating movements. After work each day or before starting work, check all threaded connections for looseness, especially the bolts connecting the main engine and the working device. If loose, they should be tightened immediately.

5. Operation and maintenance during the break-in period: The break-in period is the first 100 hours of operation of the hydraulic piling machine. During the break-in period, operate carefully without overloading. The quality of operation during the break-in period greatly affects the machine's service life. After 50 hours of work, check that the cleanliness level of the hydraulic oil is not lower than 18/15. At the same time, check and clean the oil intake and return filters. Thereafter, clean or replace them every 200 hours. During the inspection, pay attention to whether rubber or asbestos gaskets are damaged. If damaged, they should be replaced promptly.

6. After 800 hours of operation, replace the entire machine's hydraulic oil. The replacement should be done while the machine is hot. Before draining, ensure the working device is on the ground and the engine is turned off. After draining, carefully check and clean the oil intake and return filters, filter elements, pipes, and air filter surfaces.
