After using the hydraulic pile driver for a period of time, it is essential to perform maintenance on the equipment. As a hydraulic transmission device, attention should be paid to the management of the hydraulic system, such as adding and replacing hydraulic oil and cleaning the hydraulic oil tank. In hydraulic transmission, the fluid is the working medium that transmits motion and power. If the hydraulic oil tank is contaminated, it poses a significant risk to the hydraulic system of the pile driver: solid particles, colloidal substances, cotton fibers, and other debris can accelerate component wear; block the small holes and gaps in valve parts; clog the oil filter, causing a decline in valve performance or malfunction; make it difficult for the pump to absorb oil, leading to noise; and scratch seals, increasing oil leakage.

After the hydraulic pile driver has been in operation for 400 hours, the hydraulic oil tank should be thoroughly cleaned. Remove the oil drain plug, drain the hydraulic oil from the tank, reinstall the oil drain plug, take out and clean the filter screen from the air cleaner, and then replace it. Hydraulic oil tanks are typically welded with thick steel plates, and rust spots and welding residues such as welding flux may remain at the welds. Due to the special shape of the hydraulic oil tank, metal shavings and liquids can easily remain in the internal corners; during acid cleaning and phosphating, bubbles may cause corrosion in these corners; additionally, steel plates may have processing fluids and rust-proof oils. Therefore, cleaning is a crucial step for the hydraulic oil tank. During cleaning, it is important not only to address cleanliness but also to ensure the integrity of the steel plates and attachments and to avoid severe damage to the weld seams.

After cleaning, half of the tank should be filled with hydraulic oil, then emptied again. Clean the filter screen and place it back in position, install the plug, and refill the tank with hydraulic oil. The air cleaner and its filter element should be regularly inspected.
