What are some unreasonable operating methods for pile drivers?

Improper operation of pile drivers can indeed affect their usability, accelerate the wear rate of parts, and shorten the lifespan of the machine. Here are some examples of unreasonable operations and their implications for pile drivers:

1. Improper Use of Hydraulic Oil: Hydraulic components are crucial in construction machinery and require an adequate supply of hydraulic oil. When hydraulic oil in a pile driver degrades over time and needs replacement, some may think it's enough to just drain the oil in the hydraulic reservoir and refill it with new oil. However, old hydraulic oil remains in the hydraulic pipes and control valves. Mixing old and new oil during construction accelerates the degradation of the new oil.

2. Unreasonable Preheating Startup: To save time, some operators might start the pile driver abnormally without water (start first, then add cooling water), causing severe damage to the machine, which is strictly prohibited. The correct preheating method involves covering the water tank with an insulation blanket, opening the water release valve, continuously injecting clean, soft water at 60-70°C until the water flowing out of the valve feels warm to the touch, then closing the water release valve, injecting clean, soft water at 90-100°C, rotating the crankshaft to pre-lubricate moving parts, and finally starting the machine.

3. Unreasonable Selection of Hydraulic Components: For example, the boom cylinder specifications being non-standard (70/40 series) with non-standard seals lead to high manufacturing costs and inconvenient seal replacement. The small orifice in the boom cylinder can cause the system to set pressure too high.

4. Unreasonable Hydraulic System Design: In some pile drivers, the control valve and the full hydraulic steering are connected in series with a single pump. The safety valve setting pressure is 16MPa, matching the hydraulic pump's rated working pressure. Operating the hydraulic pump under full load or long-term overload (high pressure) conditions frequently causes hydraulic shocks, contaminates the hydraulic oil, exacerbates wear on the hydraulic pump, and can lead to the hydraulic pump casing bursting.

To increase the lifespan of pile drivers, it's crucial to operate them correctly and perform regular maintenance. Hopefully, this information is helpful to you.
