Shandong Hengwang Group will show you the safety measures of pile drivers

Pile drivers often appear at construction sites. For such large equipment, there are many requirements during operation, not only to ensure the normal use of the equipment but also to ensure the safety of operators. Yuanda Construction Machinery Factory has specifically sorted out some important safety issues in the safe operation of pile drivers.

1. Operate the power unit, winch, hydraulic device, and electrical equipment configured for the pile driver according to their operating manuals.

2. Operators must undergo specialized training, be familiar with the performance, structure, use, and maintenance methods of the pile driver, and can only operate it after obtaining an operation certificate.

3. Before operation, fully understand the surrounding environment, buildings, and geological conditions of the operation site.

4. The pile driver should be assembled, adjusted, and disassembled according to the procedures specified in the operating manual.

5. Stop operations in case of adverse weather conditions such as winds above level 6, heavy rain, snowfall, or heavy fog. When the wind strength exceeds level 7, stop the pile driver against the wind, lower the diesel hammer, add windproof cables, and if necessary, lower the pile frame. The pile driver should have lightning protection measures, and personnel should stay away from the pile driver during lightning strikes.

6. The steel wire rope should be fixed using wedges, clamps, crimps, or splices corresponding to the diameter of the steel wire rope. When splicing, the length of the splice should be at least 20 times the diameter of the steel wire rope and not less than 300 mm, bound with fine steel wire. When fixed with rope clips, there should be no fewer than three clips, the number of which is related to the diameter of the steel wire rope, the spacing between clips not less than 6 times the diameter of the steel wire rope, the distance from the rope end to the last clip not less than 140mm, and firmly bound with fine steel wire; during work, the clip seat should be on the tension side of the steel wire rope, U-bolts should be fixed at the end of the steel wire rope, clips should not be offset front and back, and the rope should be retightened after being tensioned.

7. When installing a diesel hammer, it should be transported within a 2m range in front of the pile frame guide column.

8. When working at heights, workers must wear safety belts.

9. When the pile driver is running, it is forbidden for anyone to enter under the lifted diesel hammer.
