What are the methods of using a highway guardrail pile driver?

Pile drivers are commonly used equipment in highway and construction engineering. They are not only easy to operate but also offer high piling accuracy, durability, energy efficiency, and environmental friendliness. They are especially suitable for the construction of field projects involving the installation, maintenance, and emergency repairs of highway guardrails.

1. Check the mechanical and hydraulic systems, and only start the diesel engine after confirming that the water level in the diesel engine's water tank and the oil level are normal.

2. The chassis is driven by a hydraulic motor with stepless speed regulation. Adjust the diesel engine's speed and fuel supply (controlled by a hand valve) to achieve different traversal speeds. Pushing the combination valve's forward/reverse handle forward moves the chassis forward, pulling it back moves the chassis in reverse. Other operations, such as lowering the arm cylinder, the upper structure's lateral cylinder, the column's pitch cylinder, and the lifting arm's tension cylinder, are all controlled by combination valve handles. Pushing the handle forward extends the cylinder piston rod, and pulling it back retracts the piston.

3. Upon arriving at the site, check whether the column is vertical. If not, adjust it using the pitch cylinder and lateral screw, and secure the column on both sides with diagonal cables. Always check the column's position when moving the pile driver.

4. Adjust the chassis's longitudinal position and the column's lateral position to align the column with the designated position.

5. Raise the hydraulic hammer to its highest point, place the lower part of the steel pipe pile on the pile position, align the top part with the hydraulic hammer's lower pile head, and press down on the steel pipe pile to start hammering. Maintain pressure on the steel pipe pile with the pile head until the pile is driven to the specified dimension.

6. Before completing each shift, lower the hydraulic hammer to the lowest position, and retract the pistons of all cylinders to their shortest length. If moving the equipment over a distance, the column should be kept in a backward-leaning position.
