After the completion of phased construction with excavators and pile drivers, to prevent changes in the performance of components, timely and targeted management measures should be taken, and corresponding maintenance work should be done:

1. Before long-term storage, the machinery should be maintained, damaged parts corrected, and a complete overhaul should be performed to ensure the machinery is in good operating condition.

2. Clean the machinery components of residual dust and mechanical impurities, which generally refer to non-metallic substances like dust and soil, as well as metallic shavings and wear products produced during the use of construction machinery.

3. Store in a dry indoor area and on flat ground, placing wooden boards underneath. After parking, cover with a tarpaulin to reduce or avoid various corrosion effects. Corrosion refers to the phenomenon where the metal surface is damaged due to chemical or electrochemical reactions with the surrounding medium. This corrosion not only affects the normal operation of the external equipment of the machinery but can also corrode the internal components.

4. During the downtime, the engine of the excavator pile driver should be started once a month, and the machinery should be driven a short distance to establish a new oil film at the lubrication points to prevent rusting. Note: Before starting, the cooling water should be filled, and at the end, the cooling water should be drained.
