Security Barrier Pile Drivers Based on Document Classification
Foundation Cap Position
1. High Foundation Cap Pile Base—The base is above ground level, with stress and deformation differing from that of low cap pile bases. Commonly used in bridge and dock constructions.
2. Low Cap Pile Base—The base is below ground level, typically used in building construction.
Bearing Characteristics
1.Bearing Piles—Refers to piles that bypass weak soil layers and transfer the load of the building through the pile to a hard soil layer or rock layer at the pile's end. The soil around the pile side is weaker, exhibiting minimal friction that can be negligible.
2. Friction Piles—Through soil friction along the pile sides, the upper load is sunk to a certain depth into the weak soil layer, thereby dispersing high loads to the soil around the pile. In practice, the effect of friction piles occurs when there is relative displacement between the pile and the soil.
Pile Material
1. Reinforced Concrete Piles can be precast or cast in place. The length and section size can be chosen as per design requirements.
2. Steel Pipe Piles are typically steel pipe piles with a diameter of 250 to 1200 millimeters and wide flange I-shaped steel pipe piles. Steel piles have high bearing capacity, are easy to hoist, transport, sink, and connect. In China, they are currently only used in some major projects. For example, in the Baoshan Steel Plant project in Shanghai, many steel pipe piles with diameters of 914.4mm and 600mm and a length of about 60cm were used for the critical high-speed equipment foundations and cylindrical bases.
3. Wood Piles are seldom used except for some reinforcement works or temporary works that can only be carried out locally. Wood is durable in groundwater but prone to rot in both wet and dry conditions.
