Photovoltaic (PV) piling machines can essentially be categorized into hydraulic PV piling machines, drop hammer PV piling machines, steam hammer PV piling machines, and diesel hammer piling machines, each operating on a different principle. Today, we'll share some tips on checking and replacing hydraulic oil in hopes of better utilizing the equipment.

1. Fluid Level Check: A low fluid level can cause air suction damage to the gear pump; therefore, it's necessary to check the oil tank's level indicator every shift. If the fluid level is not visible, oil should be added immediately.

2. Oil Temperature Check: The permissible working temperature for oil is 45°C to 75°C. High temperatures can accelerate the aging of the oil, significantly shorten the lifespan of seals and hydraulic components, increase leaks, and lower system efficiency. Therefore, it's important to monitor changes in oil temperature. If the oil temperature suddenly rises, the machine should be stopped immediately to check the oil sample or the condition of the components.

3. Oil Quality Check: Visual inspection can preliminarily determine if the oil has aged or deteriorated.

a) Darkened color indicates the presence of oxidants, caused by overheating, incomplete oil changes, or contamination with other oils.

b) Emulsification indicates contamination with water or foam, caused by the ingress of water or air.

c) Water separation indicates water contamination, caused by water ingress or condensation from humid, cold air entering the tank.

d) Bubbles indicate air contamination, caused by a too low fluid level or a leak in the suction pipe.

e) Suspended or settled particles indicate solid contaminants, caused by aged oil or wear of components.

f) Smell of tar indicates severe aging, typically due to overheating.

4. Hydraulic Oil Filter Replacement: The suction filter should be replaced every 2000 hours of operation, and the return oil filter should be replaced after the first 250 hours of operation, then every 500 hours thereafter, or when the return oil filter alarm signals a replacement is needed.

5. Oil Change: Even with good management, the oil in the machine must be replaced once a year. Additionally, when replacing the filter element, the hydraulic oil tank should be cleaned and filled with new hydraulic oil.
