In 2018, severe drought hit northern Kenya, leaving 200,000 people struggling for water. Local drilling equipment kept breaking down, stalling progress - until Hengwang stepped in.

To tackle Africa’s dust and heat, we upgraded our rigs with enhanced cooling and dustproof systems, delivering 30 units to the site. These machines proved unstoppable: 20-hour continuous operation in sandy terrain, drilling twice as fast as local equipment. With spare parts stocked at overseas hubs, any minor failure was fixed immediately - zero downtime.

Within six months, all 30 rigs completed wells across Kenya, solving the water crisis. Today, over half of Kenya’s drilling projects choose Hengwang.
