How to Resolve Hydraulic Hammer Oil Leaks in a Guardrail Pile Driver

The appearance of the guardrail pile driver has greatly improved the construction of highway guardrails. As fuel is a critical component, it's widely acknowledged that achieving efficiency in this aspect is important. There are multiple reasons for hydraulic hammer oil leaks, so it's necessary to address them according to the specific part involved.

1. Oil leak from the seam between the nitrogen chamber and the middle cylinder:

Cause: Wear of the "O-ring" at the junction of the nitrogen chamber and the middle cylinder.

Solution: Replace the "O" ring.

2. Oil leak from the base of the changeover valve and the middle cylinder body:

Cause: Damage to the "O" ring of the changeover valve base.

Solution: Replace the "O" ring.

3. Oil leak at the connection surface between the middle cylinder body and the oil pipe:

Cause: Wear of the O-ring or loosening of the oil pipe's main connector.

Solution: Replace the O-ring and tighten according to the specified torque.

4. Oil leak from the connection surface between the middle cylinder body and the upper cylinder body:

Cause: Wear and damage to the O-ring, sealing ring, and reinforcement ring, and loosening of screws on the breaker body.

Solution: Promptly replace the O-ring, sealing ring, and reinforcement ring, and tighten according to the specified torque for the guardrail pile driver.

5. Oil leak from the connection between the control valve box and the control valve cover:

Cause: Wear of the O-ring, loosening of screws on the control valve cover.

Solution: Replace the O-ring and tighten with the correct torque.

6. Piston oil leak:

(1) Regular maintenance observation: If a lot of working oil leakage and turbidity are found during the piston disassembly check, this could be due to incorrect grease refilling. Replace the sealing unit and instruct the customer on the correct oiling method.

(2) Hydraulic oil leakage and severe rusting of the breaker box: This can be caused by improper storage and infrequent use by the customer, leading to water corrosion and rust, which directly damages the piston seal and causes oil leaks. Advise the customer on the correct long-term storage method: releasing nitrogen, inserting a steel drill rod, and keeping one end of the upper cylinder higher than the lower part.

(3) Observing operating methods: If a lot of excavation action results in small stone chips being introduced into the casing, this can wear out the piston seal of the guardrail pile driver, causing oil leaks. Instruct the customer on the correct operation methods to prevent such occurrences.
