Key Operating Points of a Guardrail Pile Driver in Complex Construction Environments

Due to the nature of its work, the guardrail pile driver often operates in construction environments such as unpaved roads, mountains, and slopes. In such construction environments, the movement and operation of the pile driver are subject to many limitations, and incorrect operation can not only damage the machinery but also easily cause accidents. Today, the guardrail pile driver manufacturer will introduce to you the main operating points in complex construction environments.

1. At night or when visibility is poor, you should be very careful with the lifting of the hammer, the forward and reverse movement of the vehicle, and gear shifting. If possible, a dedicated person should be responsible for guidance. Nighttime construction distances are farther, and ground height can create illusions, so make sure to reduce driving speed, turn on headlights and ceiling lights, and add additional lighting equipment if necessary.

2. In harsh or dangerous environments, the guardrail pile driver must be operated and driven with safety in mind, and solo construction should be avoided. Before construction, the condition of the road surface, bridge strength, and the topography and geology of the work site must be measured. If the worksite is relatively damp and the soil is soft, be mindful of wheel sinking and the effectiveness of the brakes.

3. During the construction period of the guardrail pile driver, do not jump over cliffs or gullies. The soil in these areas is very soft and may collapse under the weight of the pile driver and the vibration produced during the piling process, leading to the machine rolling over. When passing through low-lying roads, do not accelerate. Instead, use the brake to control the speed of the vehicle to move forward slowly. After the pile driver slides to a lower position, accelerate and drive out of the depression.

4. When on a slope, do not walk horizontally or change direction, as the guardrail pile driver has a high center of gravity and is at risk of overturning when moving horizontally or turning on a slope. When operating on hills, riverbanks, or slopes, maintain low speed and use small angles when turning.
