The Four-Step Method for Solving Overheating Issues in the Engine of a Guardrail Pile Driver

Overheating of the starter in a guardrail pile driver is a common phenomenon in the application of construction machinery and equipment. It can reduce the power of the igniter and fuel efficiency, and in severe cases, even damage machine parts. Therefore, such defects should be eliminated promptly. Below is an introduction to the "Four-Step Method" for solving the overheating problem of the starter in a guardrail pile driver.

1. Look

If the temperature of the starter in the guardrail pile driver is found to be too high or the temperature indicator light keeps flashing, stop the vehicle and check if the cooling water in the water tank is normal, and whether there are any leaks in the water tank, water pipes, and joints. After a surface inspection and refilling of cooling water as required, construction can continue. If, after checking for a while, the cooling water temperature is still high, this is mainly due to sand holes or perforations in the water jacket of the guardrail pile driver's cylinder. This issue should be repaired once discovered. Do not take it lightly.

2. Touch

When the temperature of the wave guardrail pile driver's starter is too high, you can touch the temperature of the water supply pipe and the water down pipe to determine the fault location. If there is a significant temperature difference between the two water pipes, it can be determined that the thermostat is not working. If no spare parts are available on the way, the thermostat can be removed in an emergency and replaced immediately after returning to the repair shop.

3. Release

If there is air in the cooling system of the guardrail pile driver, it will form air resistance, causing poor circulation of the cooling water and overheating of the wave guardrail pile driver. Exhaust can be done using the following method: Let the engine run at high speed and gently twist the water tank cap until the gas is released. At this point, some cooling water will flow out with the gas. Repeat this step until the gas is expelled. After troubleshooting, promptly replenish the cooling water.

4. Flush

If the guardrail pile driver works in harsh environments for a long time, some dirt will adhere to the radiator, affecting the cooling effect and causing high water temperature. The radiator grille can first be blown with compressed air, and then rinsed with a water hose.
