Precautions for Filling Lubricating Oil in Guardrail Pile Puller Machines

When adding lubricants to a guardrail pile puller machine, there are some common misconceptions. Some believe that more lubricant and higher viscosity are always better, and that all oils are universally suitable. However, this is not the case. So, what are the precautions for using lubricants in a highway guardrail pile driver?

Firstly, the notion that more lubricant is better is not always true. Over-adding lubricant can cause increased resistance (Emmerson effect) during crankshaft rotation, leading to increased power consumption and oil volume. It can also lead to a range of related issues, such as the formation of bubbles and emulsification.

Secondly, many believe that the higher the oil viscosity, the better. In reality, the viscosity of oil can affect the performance of oil pumps (deep well pumps) and may cause various problems, like difficulties in machine operation. Lastly, not all lubricants are suitable for all machines. Lubricants come in specific grades, and different lubricants are suitable for different machines. It is important to choose the right lubricant for each specific machine.
