Typhoon Alert! Please note these construction machinery precautions!

The 5th typhoon "DOKSURI" landed in Jinjiang, Fujian, at 9 am on July 28th. Meanwhile, the typhoon "Kanu" has strengthened into a typhoon and is gradually approaching the coast of Zhejiang in China.

Due to the typhoon, many areas across the country are experiencing heavy rainfall. With the typhoon's menacing approach, what precautions should be taken for construction machinery still at the construction site?

01 Stop operations in time

When a typhoon warning is issued or wind strength increases, all operations of the loader must be stopped immediately. Strong winds and heavy rain can cause the machinery to lose balance and lead to serious accidents. Resume operations only when the wind weakens and the weather stabilizes.

02 Secure machinery and other components

Before the typhoon arrives, thoroughly inspect machinery and surrounding equipment to ensure all parts and accessories are securely fastened. If there are detachable parts, remove and store them in a safe place promptly.

03 Avoid outdoor storage, evacuate surrounding areas

During the typhoon, avoid storing machinery and important equipment like accessories outdoors. If possible, move them indoors or to other safe areas to prevent direct impact from the typhoon. The strong winds brought by the typhoon may lift materials and tools around the construction site, causing scattering and injury. Evacuate and secure any debris around the site early to reduce safety risks.

04 Maintain clear communication

During the typhoon, keep in close contact with workers to stay updated on weather changes and relevant notifications. Ensure reliable means of communication to contact rescue personnel or relevant departments in emergencies.

05 Strictly prohibit personnel from approaching the loader

Under typhoon conditions or other adverse weather, it is strictly forbidden for anyone to approach the operation area of construction machinery. It is crucial to ensure that no one is around the machinery to avoid accidental injuries.

06 Perform maintenance and repairs in time

After the typhoon, perform comprehensive maintenance and repairs on the machinery to ensure it is in good working condition. If any faults or damages are found, repair or replace them promptly.
